Key Highlights of the Bradbury's Coffee Experience
Bradbury's Coffee has cemented its place in the local scene through several defining characteristics that resonate deeply with its clientele. These elements combine to form a unique and highly valued neighborhood spot:
Commitment to Sourcing Excellence: The foundation of their reputation rests on the quality of the raw materials. This focus on the origin of the bean is palpable in the final product.
Expert Barista Craftsmanship: The team behind the counter at 127 N Hamilton St are more than just servers; they are skilled artisans. They possess a deep, technical understanding of extraction methods, milk texturing, and temperature control. This expertise guarantees that whether you order a complex pour-over or a classic latte, the execution is precise and consistent, reflecting true mastery of coffee preparation.
A Welcoming Community Atmosphere: Beyond the technical aspects of brewing, Bradbury's fosters an environment that encourages lingering. The space is designed to be inclusive and comfortable, serving as a true gathering point for the Madison community. It’s a place where conversations flow easily and the pace of life seems to adjust to a more manageable rhythm.

These complementary items are selected to pair harmoniously with the various roasts and flavor notes available throughout the day.
These pillars—quality ingredients, skilled preparation, and a genuine sense of place—are what define the enduring appeal of Bradbury's Coffee. They represent a dedication to the craft that goes beyond mere commerce.

we passed by the shop numerous times on our visit to madison and i knew we had to stop.
the inside is small but very charming and inviting. staff was kind and helpful despite their steady orders coming in, and the wait time was minimal as well.
so refreshing to have a deliciously balanced and smooth latte at a very fair price.
hell yeah bradbury’s 🔥🔥

Cute little coffee shop right in a corner with windows letting you look everywhere. About 25 seats total. Fast WiFi. Iced latte was tasty and cooling on a warm afternoon.

This is a great little spot that my wife and I like to venture to every now and again. They have a small menu, but it changes pretty frequently and the food has always been top notch! The flat white is one of the best around in my opinion … More

Be ready and willing to wait for longer than normal. Be willing to tolerate the lifestyle they are projecting. I needed caffeine so I tolerated both this time. Coffee was ok. Super small place. More

Great vibe, nice espresso drinks. There is a blend and a single origin for espresso drinks. Nice crepes, the Peruvian pour over was light and tasty, too. Great place! More

First time here. We were visiting Madison and walking around the downtown area. It's a small space (almost tiny) that sits at a narrow intersection, so it's literally a pie-shaped space. The upside is that there are lots of windows with natural light.
The inside seating consists of long tables or counters along the windows. This is not a place where you are likely to hunker down for a quiet or private conversation. You can tell that storage space is at a premium, with boxes stashed in overhead areas or equipment in the bathrooms.
The staff there were very pleasant and helpful. Ended up getting a Chai Latte (extra foam) in a mug. It didn’t take long to make, and they delivered it out to the table. It was an excellent drink — hot, flavorful, extra foam, and not too sweet. A joy to drink.
The atmosphere is a bit manic. With the tight seating, you can feel a bit claustrophobic, or on the other hand, like you are at a concert and getting energy from the crowd.
For me, it's a place to grab a drink and find a quiet space elsewhere. So not likely a place that I would return to.

This is an adorable place with a lot of unique features, loved the atmosphere of this location! The crepes and coffee were good, and well made but I was disappointed with the cost compared to the food ratio. For $9 you get 1 sweet crepe with a small amount of filling and then some whip cream or $13 for a savory crepe with 1 egg, some potatoes and a sauce. It just wasn't enough sustenance for the price. The establishment should consider upping the amount of crepes, increasing the filling inside or providing more of a substance for topping to make the ratio of food to money more worth it.

Been on the specialty third wave coffee dork train for about 15 years and this might be the single coolest cafe I've ever been to in the USA in that time. Phenomenal retail coffee selection, very knowledgeable staff, homey interior without any trace of the sterility that cafes with really nice coffee tend to have, and they made me a delicious and perfectly dialed pour-over. I didn't try the crepes but they looked good.

Bradbury’s has so much intention and sensory detail in every aspect of the food, atmosphere and service. It’s a rare to fine a multi roaster cafe sourcing good high quality coffee with a lot of care, a small menu well executed with local ingredients, hand picked teas, beautiful seating. Best cafe in the Midwest, 100% worth a visit.
Thank you!

Stopped in here to sit with a small iced latte and eat a crepe and both were delicious! It’s in a really neat space: modernist industrial, small, cozy, and quirky. I really enjoyed the vibe. Service was pleasant. My only critique—though it almost adds to the vibe—is the amount of dust and cobwebs up in the lights and rafters.

Vanilla bean latte was perfect and the space is open and bright with floor to ceiling windows. Perfect cozy spot off the square! It can get crowded on the weekends, but I’ve always had luck getting a spot at the bar along the window which offers a great view of the neighborhood. The crepes look amazing. More

My husband and I got two different types of crepes and they were both incredible. But this place is so popular that it was slammed with people and so we were almost shoulder to shoulder while inside. We also had a 40-minute wait for crepes..... Hoping they expand some more people can enjoy this place.

Nice coffee, just a small space (can get a bit cramped & crowded during the Farmer’s Market). I’d recommend it for grabbing a quick coffee with a friend or just people-watching but (personally) didn’t find there to be much space to work. Anyways, loved the iced miel ($5.80 for 12oz)! More

Try all the things. Don’t expect mainstream flavors (hint, it’s not Starbucks- it’s actually delicious).
The way they balanced the flavors in their crepes, I’m looking forward to trying their savory crepes. I’m also dying to see if they make affogato the right way. (I’ve seen grossly Americanized affogato made on social media- it’s sad).
Looking forward to going back.

There’s a parking garage just across the street. Clean and decent parking. Very cheap…I’m from Chicago, for perspective.

There’s hot chocolate. They should like the crepes, but they don’t serve overly sugary and processed. So that might take some adjusting depending on where you are in your food journey
